Park Royal Medical Practice: PATCHS appointments, opening hours and patient routes
Park Royal Medical Practice is an NHS GP surgery on the ground floor of Central Middlesex Hospital, Acton Lane, London, NW10 7NS. The practice uses online consultation and clinical triage for appointment requests, while reception remains available on 020 8961 1183. This guide separates normal surgery access, same-day clinical help, Harness evening/weekend appointments, repeat prescriptions, registration and hospital-site travel.
Use this number for appointment help, PATCHS support, home-visit requests, registration queries, prescription problems, access needs, or when you cannot use the online consultation route.

Appointments are clinically triaged
The current Park Royal appointment page asks patients, where possible, to complete an online consultation rather than relying only on the telephone. It specifically identifies PATCHS as an online contact route.
Explain the main problem, when it started, what has changed and whether you think it needs help today.
The appointment page says all appointment requests are triaged by clinicians rather than automatically being turned into a face-to-face GP slot.
If your problem needs treatment that day, the practice says telephone and video consultations can be offered.
If the clinician decides you need an examination or in-person assessment, a face-to-face appointment is arranged.
PATCHS is useful — but the form is not the treatment
Routine medical request
PATCHS lets you describe a health problem without waiting in a telephone queue. Give enough information for safe clinical triage.
Administrative request
The practice’s online systems can also support non-urgent administrative contact, reducing the need for a GP appointment.
Urgent same-day problem
Make the urgency clear. If symptoms are rapidly worsening or you cannot safely wait for an online response, phone the practice or use NHS 111/999 as appropriate.
Face-to-face examination
Online triage does not prevent in-person care. The official appointment page says a face-to-face appointment is arranged where the clinician considers it necessary.
Home visits: request before 10:00am
Park Royal Medical Practice states that home visits are intended for patients who are housebound or receiving end-of-life care and cannot attend the practice.
Phone 020 8961 1183 and tell reception that you are requesting a home visit.
Reception asks for your name, address, telephone number and a short description of the problem. Tell them if you are not at your normal home address.
The doctor can discuss the request by telephone and decide what action is most appropriate.
Harness GP Access Hub: evening and weekend appointments
Park Royal Medical Practice is run by Harness Care Ltd and participates in the Harness Primary Care Network enhanced-access service. This gives registered patients another route when normal practice appointments are full or when evening/weekend care is more practical.
Harness enhanced-access route
The practice appointment page says hub appointments are available Monday to Saturday from 9:00am to 8:00pm, including weekday evenings, weekends and bank holidays where sessions are commissioned.
Appointments may be by telephone, video or face to face depending on clinical need. The Harness hub uses Park Royal Medical Practice at Central Middlesex Hospital as one of its sites.
Published booking number: 020 8194 7355. You can also ask Park Royal reception to arrange a suitable hub appointment.
Repeat prescriptions: order about a week before you run out
The current prescription page encourages patients taking regular medicines to request the next supply before the existing medication is exhausted.
| Method | What to do |
|---|---|
| NHS App / NHS login | View your current repeat medicines and select the items required. |
| Practice online request | Use Park Royal Medical Practice’s repeat-prescription online route. |
| Nominated pharmacy | The practice also lists requesting regular medicine through your chosen pharmacy. |
Electronic prescriptions
Use a nominated pharmacy so an approved electronic prescription can be sent directly to the pharmacy. Check which pharmacy is nominated before placing an order if you have recently moved or changed chemist.
Medication review
Some regular medicines cannot continue indefinitely without monitoring or review. If a repeat item disappears, is declined or the practice asks for blood tests or a medication review, complete the requested safety check before repeatedly submitting the same order.
For a wider explanation of nominated pharmacies, repeat medicines and medication reviews, see the MedicalPracticeUK medication guide.
Register with Park Royal Medical Practice
Park Royal publishes both normal catchment registration and an out-of-area registration option where the practice considers this clinically appropriate and practical.
The practice provides a catchment map. It also says people who work locally but live outside the normal boundary may sometimes be accepted.
The practice publishes an online new-patient registration route, with a paper form also available.
The practice says knowing your NHS number can help match records. Current NHS rules confirm that an NHS number is not a condition of GP registration.
Park Royal explicitly says patients registered from outside the practice area are not entitled to home visits from the practice. If they need a home visit, the practice directs them to NHS 111 for care closer to where they live.
Test results and referrals: check who owns the follow-up
The practice homepage provides a dedicated Test Results / Referrals route, while the NHS App can display parts of your GP record where online access is enabled.
GP-requested investigation
If Park Royal Medical Practice ordered the blood test or investigation, use the practice result route once the expected processing time has passed.
Hospital-requested investigation
If a Central Middlesex Hospital clinic or another specialist ordered the investigation, check the clinic letter first. The hospital team may be responsible for interpreting and following up the result.
Clinics and services at Park Royal Medical Practice
The practice’s current clinic information lists a broad range of primary-care services. Some can be handled by the nursing, healthcare-assistant or wider Harness team rather than a GP.
Long-term conditions
The practice lists dedicated work for diabetes, coronary heart disease and other long-term conditions, with practice nurses involved in monitoring and review.
Baby and child health
Published services include baby clinic, child-health surveillance and child immunisation. The correct professional depends on whether the child needs weighing/advice, vaccination or a medical check.
Cervical screening
The clinic list includes NHS cervical-screening appointments for eligible patients. Use the practice booking route if you have received an invitation or are due.
Contraception
The practice lists contraceptive services and IUCD/coil-related care. Ask reception which clinician and appointment length are required.
Minor surgery
Selected minor surgical procedures can be carried out after clinical assessment. The practice states that its minor-surgery service is not for cosmetic procedures.
Blood tests and dietetics
The clinic page lists phlebotomy and dietetic support as part of the practice’s service mix. Confirm the current clinic schedule when booking because staffing sessions can change.
Veteran-friendly GP practice
Park Royal Medical Practice publishes an Armed Forces veteran-friendly accreditation page. If you have served in the UK Armed Forces, tell the practice so this can be recorded and relevant veteran-specific health services considered where appropriate.
Official veteran-friendly practice informationNHS App and online access
The practice encourages greater NHS App use because it can reduce unnecessary calls and give patients more control over routine tasks.
Repeat medication
View current repeat items and submit eligible prescription requests.
Appointments
Some appointment functions may be available online, although clinical requests should still follow Park Royal’s current triage instructions.
GP record
Where access has been enabled, the NHS App can show information from your GP medical record. If something is clearly incorrect, the practice policy asks patients to contact the surgery rather than booking a GP appointment solely to report a record error.
Central Middlesex Hospital location: plan the visit carefully
Park Royal Medical Practice is inside the Central Middlesex Hospital campus, not a separate high-street surgery. That matters when arranging transport, finding the right entrance and estimating how long it will take to reach reception.
Access or communication need
Tell reception when booking if you need an interpreter, communication help, mobility support or another reasonable adjustment. Giving notice helps the practice arrange suitable support before the consultation.
Hospital-site parking
Parking arrangements belong to the Central Middlesex Hospital site and may change independently of the GP practice. Check current hospital signage, parking restrictions and Blue Badge arrangements when you arrive.
Feedback, complaints and the Patient Participation Group
Park Royal encourages both patient feedback and formal complaints. Its current homepage also invites patients to join the Patient Participation Group (PPG).
Raise a concern locally
The practice complaints policy says concerns can initially be discussed with a staff member or the Practice Manager. Formal complaints should normally be made within 12 months of the event or when you became aware of the issue.
Join the PPG
The practice is actively recruiting patients to its Patient Participation Group so patients can comment on access, care and service development. The current homepage lists nhsnwl.prmp@nhs.net for PPG interest.
