Cliff Villages Medical Practice: two village surgeries, appointments, hours and prescriptions
Cliff Villages Medical Practice serves patients from two Lincolnshire sites: Navenby Surgery on Grantham Road and Waddington Surgery on Mere Road. The two buildings operate complementary sessions across the week, while the main practice phone line remains 01522 811411. Urgent same-day requests should be made by phone; routine requests currently use the practice’s live online medical-request route.
Use this number for urgent same-day appointments, help if the online request route is difficult, home visits, prescription problems, registration support, accessibility questions and confirmation of which surgery site you need.

How appointments currently work
Call 01522 811411. The current appointments page specifically asks patients to use the phone line for urgent same-day appointments.
Give enough information for a clinician to understand what you need. The current practice route does not require you to create a SystmOnline login simply to submit the routine medical request.
The practice then sends a booking link where an appointment is appropriate.
The practice says new slots are released daily, so if the first suitable time is not available you can keep checking the same valid booking link.
You may be booked with a practitioner rather than a GP
Cliff Villages uses a broader clinical team including nurse prescribers and paramedics. The practice says these clinicians can assess, prescribe and refer for many conditions.
The current appointments page specifically says these practitioners do not manage pregnancy, infants under one year old or new mental-health problems, so those requests may need a different clinician.
Running late?
The practice warns that patients more than 10 minutes late may not be seen because the clinician may not have enough time to complete the consultation safely.
Online access changed during 2026 — use the live practice button
Cliff Villages has changed online-access systems during 2026. An April practice announcement said askmyGP would begin in May, but the current live homepage, online-services page and routine-request link now point patients to a SystmConnect/SystmOnline medical-request route.
Current clinical online route
The practice says clinical forms open from 7:30am Monday to Friday and can close when safe daily capacity is reached.
Administrative queries
The current online-services page says administrative requests remain available for longer and are not tied to the same daily clinical capacity.
Why detail matters
The practice encourages patients to give enough information in the online form so the clinical team can prioritise urgent versus routine needs correctly.
Old askmyGP bookmark?
Do not rely on an old saved link. Start from the official Cliff Villages homepage so you are sent to the platform the practice is currently using.
Evening and Saturday Enhanced Access
Cliff Villages is part of South Lincoln Healthcare Primary Care Network, which provides additional pre-booked appointments outside normal core hours.
Weekday evenings
The network provides Enhanced Access between 6:30pm and 8:00pm on weekdays through a rota of member practices.
Saturday
The network provides Saturday clinics between 9:00am and 5:00pm, again using a rotating practice site.
Who may see you?
The service can involve GPs, advanced nurse practitioners, nurses and healthcare assistants. Your appointment may be telephone or face-to-face.
Home visits: request before 11:00am where possible
The current appointments page says every home-visit request is triaged by the duty doctor.
Use 01522 811411 and explain why you cannot safely attend either Navenby or Waddington.
The duty doctor may telephone you first.
The practice says telephone advice, a nurse visit or hospital attendance may sometimes be more appropriate.
Repeat prescriptions: allow at least 48 hours for practice processing
The dedicated prescription page says patients can request repeat medication online, by telephone or in person and asks for 48 hours, excluding weekends and bank holidays, for the prescription request to be processed.
| Task | Current guidance |
|---|---|
| Order online | Use the current repeat-prescription link from the practice website. |
| Telephone request | The practice’s prescription page lists telephone ordering as an available route. |
| Order in person | Use the repeat slip to identify exactly which medicines you need. |
| Processing time | Allow at least 48 hours, excluding weekends and bank holidays. |
| Where medicine is collected | From your nominated community or distance-selling pharmacy — not the former practice dispensary. |
| Supply problem | Ask the pharmacy first if the prescription was issued but the medicine is unavailable. Contact the GP practice for clinical or medication-review problems. |
The Navenby/Waddington dispensary has permanently closed
This is one of the biggest changes for existing patients in 2026.
NHS Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board confirmed that the Cliff Villages Medical Practice dispensing service closed permanently at 6:00pm on Friday 10 April 2026 following the change in contractual arrangements and application of national pharmaceutical regulations.
This can be a local bricks-and-mortar pharmacy or a distance-selling pharmacy that delivers.
You can normally do this through the NHS App, through the chosen pharmacy or with GP-practice help.
The prescribing process and clinical medication review remain the responsibility of the practice.
Once issued, the electronic prescription goes to the nominated pharmacy for dispensing.
Test results: use the current practice route rather than guessing a fixed wait
The practice website has a dedicated Tests & Results service section, but one universal current result turnaround for every investigation is not clearly published in the accessible official information reviewed for this update.
Blood tests, cultures, scans and hospital investigations can all take different lengths of time.
Results may become visible after they have been received and reviewed.
Call 01522 811411 if you cannot access the result online or need clarification about what happens next.
If a hospital team arranged the investigation, follow that team’s result and follow-up instructions.
Register with Cliff Villages Medical Practice
The practice currently welcomes new patients and provides an online catchment checker before registration.
Use the current online boundary checker on the New Patients page.
The practice describes its area as extending toward the entrance of Waddington to the north, the A15 to the east, Leadenham to the south and the Brant Road junction in Waddington to the west.
After confirming the address is within the boundary, use the current registration link supplied by the practice.
The registration page encourages carers to identify themselves so the practice can record that responsibility and offer appropriate support.
Who you may be offered instead of a GP
Modern Cliff Villages access uses more than doctors and nurses. The practice’s 2026 online-access announcements and current appointment information identify a wider primary-care team.
Advanced Nurse Practitioner
ANPs can assess and treat a range of conditions and may be offered where their clinical skills fit the problem.
First Contact Practitioner
Musculoskeletal and physiotherapy-related problems may be directed to an FCP rather than requiring a GP first.
Clinical pharmacist
Medication-related queries and reviews may be suitable for the practice or PCN pharmacy team.
Practice nurses
Current recruitment and service information includes long-term-condition reviews, cervical screening, childhood and routine immunisation, travel vaccination and other nursing care.
Paramedic / practitioner
The practice uses practitioners who can assess, prescribe and refer for many problems, subject to their scope of practice.
Community pharmacy
Since the practice dispensary closed, community pharmacies have an even more important role in medicine supply and minor-illness support.
Disabled access at both village surgeries
The practice states that both Navenby and Waddington have full disabled facilities.
Navenby
The practice states that the building is equipped for disabled access and that a wheelchair is available for use inside the surgery. Ask reception if you need it.
Waddington
The practice gives the same disabled-access statement for the Waddington surgery and says a wheelchair is also available there.
Complaints and suggestions
Cliff Villages makes an important distinction between a general suggestion and a formal complaint.
Suggestion or improvement idea
The practice welcomes constructive suggestions through its normal website and patient-feedback channels.
Formal complaint
The practice explicitly states that complaints will not be dealt with through the general website suggestion route. Use the formal complaints procedure or ask reception for a copy.
CQC in 2026: provider changed, so read the rating carefully
The regulatory history is unusually important on this page.
| CQC item | What it means now |
|---|---|
| Current provider | The Welby Practice. |
| Current registration | The current CQC location was registered on 20 February 2026. |
| Current-provider inspection | CQC says it has not yet inspected this service under the new provider. |
| Historical rating shown | The Good ratings displayed in the history were awarded to the previous provider and are inherited historical information. |
| Previous-provider service | Archived on 18 February 2026 after the provider/registration change. |

When Cliff Villages Medical Practice is closed
| Situation | Use this route |
|---|---|
| Life-threatening emergency | Call 999. |
| Urgent medical problem that cannot wait | Use NHS 111 online or call 111. |
| Evening/weekend routine GP care | Ask the practice about South Lincoln Healthcare Enhanced Access. It must be pre-booked. |
| Medicine supply problem | Contact your nominated pharmacy first if the prescription has already been issued. Use NHS 111 for urgent medication help when appropriate. |
| Routine online request | Use the current practice online route when it is open. Do not use NHS 111 simply for routine administration. |
